Many people know Nathan as a byline in the Miramichi Leader and as someone who has held various print and digital media roles with Brunswick News, but behind that byline is a community-minded individual who believes fully in the Rotary motto of “service above self.”
Nathan became interested in joining Rotary after crossing paths with fellow Rotarians and seeing first-hand the joy they get from serving the community and networking with like-minded people. He is looking forward to becoming more involved in Rotary in the future.

Mike Mersereau joined Rotary in 2009 after moving with his family to Miramichi. According to Mike, the primary reason he joined Rotary is the social contact with diverse individuals. He also enjoys the challenge of implementing fundraising projects and supporting other community projects. The fundraising projects all have a clear beginning and end, and members can participate according to their abilities and their time schedule. It is not work, it’s fun! “….Rotary gatherings are the highlight of my week. I really enjoy all the characters around the table….”, says Mike!
